Art.Nr/SKU, LOTs and Serial Numbers

Understanding and using numbers identifying your items for sale.

Art.Nr (AN/EAN/SKU/UPC/PN/GTIN/ISBN)
This is normally your internal company Article Number or SKU identifying a distinct type of your items for sale, such as a product or service which have attributes like manufacturer, description, material, size, color, packaging, and warranty terms.
Our software can handle multiple LOTs of the same Art.Nr which LOTs can have unique serial numbers that you can specify below.
Note that changing any product attribute or characteristic (Name, Lot, SN, Brand, Availability, Category, Price, Location, Manually added attribute etc.) the system will ask you if you wish to change all instances(variants) of the same Art.Nr.
This code can be also your product Part Number (PN, P/N), EAN (European Article Number), Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), International Standard Book Number (ISBN), International Standard Serial Number (ISSN), International Standard Music Number (ISMN), International Article Number (which includes the European Article Number (EAN) and Japanese Article Number), Universal Product Codes (UPCs) or your vendor SKU.
Our system can encode and print this code on product label(you can design easily your product label below), and later read and identify these numbers by any type of barcode scanners.

Serial Number:
This is normally your Serial Number(SN) identifying every single instance of your item for sale with given Art.Nr or given LOT.
If you have two LOTs of one Art.Nr every LOT can have unique serial number.
If you change this number the system will ask you if you want to change only this instance of the product or all other with the same Art.Nr.(same product type).
Our software can handle multiple LOTs of the same Art.Nr which LOTs can have unique serial numbers that you can specify here.
Changing product with one LOT the system will ask you if you wish to change all LOTs of the same Art.Nr.
Our system can encode and print this code on product label(you can design easily your product label below), and later read and identify these numbers by any type of barcode scanners.

Lot:
LOTs are used normally to separate different patches of the same product type or group(same Art.Nr/SKU).
For example: "LOT1288-12.12.2018" can say that the product is best before 12.12.2018. If you specify LOT ending with "-12.12.2018" the system will assume this this product is best before the date.
One Art.Nr. can have many LOTs. Every LOT can have unique Serial Number identifying each product with same LOT.
Our software can handle multiple LOTs of the same Art.Nr which LOTs can have also unique Serial Numbers that you can specify below.
Changing product with one LOT the system will ask you if you wish to change all LOTs of the same Art.Nr.
Normally your Art.Nr. or SKU identify a distinct type of your items for sale, such as a product or service which have specific attributes like manufacturer, description, material, size, color, packaging, and warranty terms.
