What is a template?
Templates are a way to use the same text (shaped in a certain way, containing specific references, etc.) in many pages without having to add the same text to each page separately. There are various causes information to be exported in the template, but the main ones are:
1. Easy maintenance - where relatively frequently updated information must be present in a greater number of pages (example: template for the current composition of a football team).
2. Economy - when a greater number of pages should appear as a large amount of information (example: template Nobel laureates in literature in different articles about all of the winners).
3. Style of design - functional and aesthetic arrangement one way of articles or parts of articles and logically belong to one category.
In practice, each page can be treated and used as a template, but the main area is customary to only use templates from namespace.
Using Templates
Templates are used as the template name include the desired location in the desired page surrounded by a pair of braces (curly) brackets:
{{}} Nobel literature
Allowed calling the template with lower highlighting the dash instead of interval {{nobel_literatura}} with spaces surrounding his name: {{Nobel literature}}, and even if there is new (s) order (s) between the curly brackets and name template:
{{
Nobel literature}}
With the exception of the first letter, the remaining letters of the template distinguish between lower and upper, i.e. call {{Nobel literature}} will work, but not call {{Nobel Literature}}.
If the template is used with parameters, use it as they are added to the page:
{{Info Biography
| name =
| portrait = dot.png
| description =
| suffix =
| born-date = [[]] [[]]
| native-place = [[]], [[]]
| died-date = [[]] [[]]
| died-place = [[]], [[]]
}}
and complete:
{{Info Biography
| name = Vasil Levski
| portrait = Vasil_Levski.jpg
| description = Bulgarian national hero
| suffix =
| born-date = [[July 18]] [[1837]]
| native-place = [[Karlovo]], [[Bulgaria]]
| died-date = [[February 18]] [[1873]]
| died-place = [[Sofia]], [[Bulgaria]]
}}
Optional parameters can be safely deleted if it is clear that it will never be used as a suffix parameter of template {{}} Biography info completed in an article about the man. Optional parameters that makes sense to be completed but for which you have the necessary information, it is better to leave - they will not appear on the page and interfere.
Outsourcing of various parameters of the new lines is not mandatory, but it seems more neatly in a larger number of parameters.
In addition to observe the same format templates usually have their traditional places where standing within articles. For example, the template {{}} Info Biography and similar (Tennis player {{}}, {{Actor}} {{}} Monarch, ...) are positioned at the top of the article and may be preceded by example templates technical support as {{Merge}} {{Processing}} {{}} Another meaning. Other templates are usually available at the end of the article, such as horizontal navigation templates, templates stubs, etc.
When you first use a template or you are unsure regarding the parameters and use check his page for instructions or orient than seen in other articles already use it ..
